School Parties

My daughters school will not allow homemade treats to be brought to school parties. Everything must be store bought. Although this makes me feel a little safer about what she is eating, I dislike that I can't make things because I am always finding cute little cookies and stuff to make for parties. Does your child's school allow homemade treats?

Summers almost over!!

Well for all the school kids summer time is quickly coming to a end. My daughter will be starting preschool this year and she is so excited! We have started waking up early and going to bed at a decent time to prepare her. What are some thing you do to get your children ready to start school again. Other than the awful school supplies shopping.

April Showers bring May Flowers

We did  this at Easter time. The kids planted jelly beans in soil. You can do it outside but I chose to just do it in a water bottle in the house. Have your children plant the jelly beans and water them. When the kids go to bed stick suckers down in the dirt so they think their jelly beans grew into suckers. I found these flower suckers at Walmart to $1 which I thought would work out better than a regular sucker. My kids were so excited when they woke up to sucker flowers :)

More Crafts

These are hand print Santas. You trace you child's hand then the fingers turn into the beard which you put glue on and cover in cotton balls. the top of the palm and thumb turn into Santa's hat. we used finger paint to paint the hat and cheeks. We then lined the brim of the hat with cotton balls and glued a cotton ball on the end of the thumb for the fuzzy ball on the end of Santa's hat. we used plastic eyes but you can draw them if you do not has eyes on hand!!

Let's get Crafty

I love doing crafts with my kids. We usually do them the most around the holidays so here are a few of crafts we have done. Keep in mind these are kids projects...

These are Thankful Turkeys. They are so easy. all you have to do is trace your little ones hand let them color their turkey and name it then tell you 4 things they love the most. You can either use the plastic eye or just draw one along with the beak and legs. My kids had a absolute blast making these.
